Was it a natural disaster, groundwater intrusion, storm damage, or the result of a burst pipe? You should call your insurance agent as quickly as possible to begin answering these questions.

Can I stay in my home during the restoration?
That depends on the extent of your damage. Often we can contain the damage and quickly remove any contamination from mold or sewage overflow. If your home still has power and water, and you can safely access the living areas, we will work to let you remain in your home.
Water damage mitigation can be noisy and there will be equipment in your home for several days. Reconstruction is… well… construction and comes with saws and power tools. If your insurance company covers living or business relocation expenses, that may be a more comfortable option for you.
How long will it take to dry my home?
Every water damage and flood is unique and the times to dry them will vary. Generally, a home can be dried within 3 days. The longer your home was exposed to water, the more extensive drying will be so it is important that you call a restoration company quickly.
Should I call a restoration company before I file a claim?
YES! As the owner, it is your responsibility to protect your property and minimize any further losses from the damage. That means getting it dry before the water spreads and mold starts to grow. Your insurance company will expect you to stop the source of the leak and begin to dry your home, and a formal approval is generally not required.
